2.3.16 SGS2 Bugs

Hi,

I did a full wipe before install.

Found 2 bugs.

1) When trying to change the default notification sound to silent, the settings app crashed.

2) The contacts app kept syncing with google contacts for some reason. I had 3 duplicate contacts on my contacts before i disable contact sync and rebooted. Note: I imported from csv when my phone started up.

I have since restored to 2.3.2

Hey guys, found a really weird bug. When tethered to my win7 laptop I can access firefox with no problem but when I open my Google Chrome the connected icon gets a little yellow warning sign over it and I cannot open a web page. Not sure if its Miui V4 or just my pc default browser settings? Also when trying to access Chrome on my sgs2 browser, it will not allow me to. I am not that clued up with browser/connection settings so I am at a loss. For the moment Firefox is mellow so don't stress if you lank busy. Still best rom I have ever seen. Even my batter only dropped 1% over night, freakin incredible man.

If you realy need to tethering, use 2.1.20, in this version tethering is working well.

Yeh no worries thanks bro, it breaks my heart but I will have to wait until tethering is as smooth as a dolphins back. Tried everything but now and then it just disconnects from my win7 and tunes me no internet connection, I then exit browser and after 20 seconds it starts working again. Over and over, just got too irratating so I just wend back to 2.3.9 and now its working perfect. Darn I was so keen for this rom but I suppose waiting is better than being angry with my gadgets. When it works I am all over it. Tough decision, such a gorgeous rom with brilliant battery use. Oh well, thanks for the advice, back to patiently waiting. Awesome rom anyways.

I flashed 2.3.16 yesterday and it's running really smooth.

1. Lockscreen isn't fully translated (I've installed V4 lockscreen but also there I found some untranslated text like when buttery is running low)
2. Rotation isn't working in gallery browsing photos
3. Samsung keyboard is QWERTZ instead of QWERTY
4. In messaging app when you go to recomended everything is in Chinese
5. In browser when I go to setting I can see something like "Unfortunately, %1$s has stopped.

6. Setup sim lock result in FC
7. Numbers have international code thus making android not using contacts name
8. App protection (in security) FC
9. Cant apply theme: failed to apply theme
10. Backlight is not in customize toggle position (so we cannot move/remove it from statusbar toggles)

I tried out the 4.0.3 MIUI version and got few issues with the themes not working properly.Some elements still uses the default skin. I get FC's with the app locking feature as well. The settings page just crashes.

Unfortunately I have big fingers so I really cannot use qwerty o swype... I tried a lot 3x4 keyboard but the samsung one is the fastest absolutely!
