When my screen is set to lower brightness (~20%), screenshots are visibly darker but when I go above like 25% then every screenshot has an identical brightness.
New [20.7.16] Mi9 - Darker screenshots when brightness is low.

That's why you have adjust contrast in dark mode option activated, to disable it go to settings display dark mode and disable adjust contrast
