It looks like an excessive battery drain exists on xiaomi.eu Android 10 ROMS for Mi9. At least I believe I managed to pin it down during the whole day to following:
Google Play services - 9178 wakelocks - looks like a lot!!! Most of them related to location service.
Android system - 7293 wakelocks - seems a lot too. Again most of them related to location service.
I am not sure but it looks like on Android 10 ROMs location service is more aggressive on battery since I did not have this kind of behavior on Android 9ROM and I had much better battery times, or it is just my imagination... Correct me if I am wrong but on each version of Andoid 10 ROMs I have the same behavior. It cannot be coincidence.

See a comparison between wakelocks on android 9 ROM 9.8.1 and Android 10 ROM 20.1.4

Android Google play services wakelocks (on the left Android 9 on the right Android 10):
28 versus 9178 !!!

27984

Android System wakelocks (on the left Android 9 on the right Android 10):
15 versus 7293 !!!

27985

That would explain much better battery life on Android 9 versus Android 10 ROMS.
Guys I am not expert but something is really fuc..ed up with this. These values are hundreds of times more on Android 10 ROM.
Any comments from devs really appreciated.

No comments here, we're not the developers behind Android 10. There's no way we could know what causes this.

Maybe sloppy location service implementation without battery optimization from Chinese version. Who knows. I can just only guess. I just want to know if this is only affecting a certain type of hardware like Mi9 or is a wider problem affecting also other types of Xiaomi smartphones using Android 10.

Thanks moving your work here.
This issue is affecting almost all the Xiaomi under Android 10.
I have a MI9T and an old MI8 SE now dedicated for test purpose. They are both having this issue.
But it is also affecting other phone like OP6. Read B. Wackman comments, here:
I stay tuned on this interesting subject.
have a nice day.

on my mi9lite have too abnormal battery use. in night with wifi on its go about 2% per hour, when rn7 use about 2% per 4 hours.
