Android 7 For Mi4

No, unfortunately. To bad. So i installed LineAge OS based on android 7.

It works great. No problems at all.
ROM is half mb of MIUI.
MIUI has much more features though, but you have to get used to LineAge OS.
I will stick to it for now and get used to it. I also rooted my Mi4.

I too had tried LineageOS for several weeks now, but it will be replaced by xiaomi.eu ROM now. The reasons:
- IR Sensor does not work
- Device freezes at least once a day and has to be rebooted
- Bluetooth does not work properly (see BUGBASH-243 in LineageOS Bugtracker)
- Power consumption is way higher than before

You can get IR sensor working changing SE mode to permissive.

Which feature using on Andorid 7? I have Mi4 on Android 6 and Mi5 on Android 7 but I don't know benefit of Android 7

That sound great, I expecte lot from MIUI 9. On first place new feature for removing software which newer use but consume memory of phone. I love clean and light system.

I also prefer clean and light system...but this is an aosp characteristic.

Never, all sd801 and before will never officially receive nougat as the processor do not pass Google certification test suite. You need a SD 64 bits or use unofficial custom roms.

I have a friend of mine who is using miui.it ROM.
I was asked if Mi 4 (not the LTE version) will ever get Android 7 and MIUI 9 but am unable to provide a proper answer as I have not found any info.
Anyone please knows if xiaomi.eu will release anything new for this device? He was very happy to learn that now xiaomi.eu enabled OTA upgrades and wish to migrate from miui.it to xiaomi.eu. Please let me know what I should answer.

I don't think so, snapdragon 801 does nota have oficial Android 7 support. Miui 9 it Will be Android 6 probably
