Does anyone manage to make this work?
I can make it find my phone but I cannot activate the erase button...

Does any one have any idea why?

Have you given ADM permission to do so? You need to give permissions to ADM under Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Device administrators.

Hmm... after some precautionary searching on Google, I discovered that ADM's "Erase Phone" feature assumes a standard recovery partition. Given that Xiaomi's isn't standard, I suspect that it won't work with Xiaomi phones (at least for now). In my case, I've got CWM Recovery installed on my phone, and sure enough, all that ADM did was cause the phone to reboot without wiping.

After a few problems testing the ADM with MIUI, WIUI, AOSP CM10.1 e MoKee lets go to the results:

MIUI based ROMS(including WIUI)
Can locate the device through proper permissions but can't erase

AOSP QDT14 (4.1.1)
Can locate the device through proper permissions but can't erase

CM10.1 & MoKee (4.2.2 based)
Can locate the device through proper permissions, can erase but after reboot the device it corrupt the fastboot... So don't try unless you know how to recover your device with MiFlash

There are aways Xiaomi locating services(only for MIUI) or in Play Store are a few options too, but I never tested then with erase function(if available)
