Anti roll back

Hi, i saw these announcement http://en.miui.com/thread-3156438-1-1.html that Xiaomi has implemented on Miui 10 an anti roll back, so you cannot downgrade to prior version of Android or Miui. I am on the 8.7.5 Global dev, i want ti unlock bootloader and install rom from xiaomi. eu. Has anyone else tried if it is safe? Because people talking about bricking their devices just by installing twrp recovery. Thanks

Yeah , I Heard that if you flash any custom Recovery , your device can brick ..
