Are OTA updates possible on the European Hybrid ROM for HyperOS 3?

I just got the bootloader unlocked on my 17 Pro Max. And successfully installed HyperOS 3.0.315.0

Is there any real possibility of having regular OTA updates instead of having to wipe my device every single time when manually flashing a new version?

Even without OTA, normally, the install process does not require to wipe your data when updating. You only need a clean install the first time you install the Xiaomi.eu ROM.

You won't get a fully transparent OTA. At best, you will be able to download the ROM from the updater, and then update with TWRP, but I dont know the specifics on newer versions of the ROM.

Thank you for the clarification. Is anyone working on future updates for a full transparent OTA?

I will only add:
- OTA update (update directly on the mobile) requires a working TWRP (custom recovery).
- The developers of xiaomi.eu ROM have no influence on the creators of custom recovery. This means that the ROM contains stock recovery.
- Installation and management of custom recovery is solely up to the user
- This means that OTA notification of the update and the ability to download it to the device is possible, but the update itself without custom recovery is not.
