New Automatic Brightness not holding setting after reboot

Reported also in the ROM Release section, I am still getting the Automatic Brightness resetting itself to almost minimum after each reboot, instead of holding the original setting. This has been happening for quite some time now - I cannot remember when it last worked correctly.

Mi 6 48Gb
Miui 10, 8.10.11
