Backup Apps data

hi all! I have a RN5 with the Pie stock Global (no root).
I wish to install the weekly xiaomi.eu (as per many years with my old RN2!!!).
Before erase everything, I need to save some apps with related data.
Searching on internet, it seems that Helium with deskop component could be useful for my purpose.
did anyone already use Helium? is it good? or it there any other way to do?
