Same problem on my Mi6x. Has somebody got a solution?
I tried editing the build.prop and it made things only worse, resulting in the face camera not taking pictures above 5MP anymore. And I saw no difference in picture quality with the back camera despite using 12MP.
Whatever adverts I have seen about the camera quality of the Mi6x.... mine is nothing close at all.
