Can't change fonts

When i was on latest beta 21.4.22 i used to replace the fonts with the China default ones

Now I'm on stable version 12.5.3 but when i replaced the fonts into the system the font didn't change
Anyone know why?

I have the china stable /system/fonts folder
I put it in the system and nothing changes

I used to do the same on beta rom and it was working fine
