Can't Enable Usb App Installation

When I try to enable "Install via USB" under Developer Options, a dialog which says "Allowing" appears and nothing happens. Installation via USB remains off. This also happens with "USB debugging (security options)" .

I have already linked my Xiaomi account.
I have XIAOMI.EU 7.8.31. Also tried with 7.8.24

I can't develop and test my app anymore!
