Changing default camera app, Xiaomi 11T Pro

Sorry for the amount of posts. I come with another question. Is it possible to make a non Xiaomi camera app my default camera app? I've uninstalled the default Xiaomi camera. Any ideas?

Settings, apps, manage apps, 3 dots in top right select default apps and then select camera and the app you want as default camera app.

My camera doesn't show up on the list, as it's an APK from the internet. Do you have any recommendations as to what to do?

Just have to use a standard homepage shortcut and if you get an option like in WhatsApp to open with, select your app and tick the never ask again box if present.

Why would you remove stock camera? Next best is this is probably: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-wichaya/ get an xml config as well for a model similar to yours and fine tune it, can do most things a stock cam can do, perhaps even better in some aspects.
