Collection of sensitive data from Xiaomi

Hi,

After the latest news in regards to some phone manufacturers including spyware in the phones, including Xiaomi (https://gizmodo.com/android-xiamoi-oneplus-phones-personal-info-study-1850082989) I have a few questions:

1. Did xiaomi.eu team know about this? If so, was this ever announced anywhere?
2. Does the xiaomi.eu team remove such spyware?
3. Could xiaomi.eu team give more details in regards of the data collection that Xiaomi performs?
