I came across such an interesting “bug”.
I have:
- Xiaomi 14 with the latest Xiaomi EU 1.0.42.0
- flashed latest modem from Global (tried EU too)
- SIM card of the European T-mobile (Croatia).
The control menu for selecting the network type is “stripped down”, i.e. It is impossible to set “Preferably 4G”, “Only 2G”, etc.
This is observed only with one specific SIM card. I changed the SIM card itself at the operator's office, thinking that it was the problem - but no, unfortunately.
But when using other SIM cards, the menu is "normal"
At the same time, the same picture is observed if I insert this SIM card into my old RN10S device with Indonesian firmware.
On the other hand, if I insert the same SIM card into another one of my RN10S with Global firmware, the menu is displayed normally with the ability to select the type of the network.
Could there be some kind of conflict here between non-EU/Global firmware and a purely European SIM card? Has anyone seen anything similar?
PS I tried flashing Modem and Modemfirmware from different European, RU and Global firmware - nothing changes.
