don't see how oldness affects this as Xiaomi should respect the GPL rules and release the sources anyway...

shuame have a cynogenmod 11 and cynogenmod 11s for the mi3 ( cm 11s is the rom that oneplus one use) and many more rom that you can instal by click of the mouse
