New Dark mode enables itself when off in settings

Mi9/Miui 11 9.9.27.
Here is my idea on what is happening:
Until this summer I had OnePlus3 with automatic Night color mode. I've dropped it and got Mi9. Directly (still on stock MiUI10) the screen started turning on the reading mode automatically. I believe it is some setting, not connected to MiUI Reading mode/dark mode Settings app.
Cureently it even toggles dark node in supported apps.
Switching the setting for dark mode does nothing. Same for Reading mode.

Any suggestions?

Check the first thread in the bugs section of the forum, there is a mention there about dark mode specifically.
