New dark mode fails on pyxis running Xiaomi.EU 21.8.11

hello!

"more dark mode options" seems to be unworking – literally.

firstly, my very beloved function of darkening of a lot of not-adapted for system (/own) dark mode apps disappeared in the last update. I'm so concerned about this bug (feature?) – I'm very sensitive to high brightness, and it's practically burning my eyes.
secondly, I tried to switching toggles on and off and it literally changes nothing in all researched several apps.

so hope something will be changed/fixed in the next update. thanks a lot in advance.

device: Mi 9 Lite/pyxis.
firmware: MIUI 12.6/Xiaomi.EU 21.8.11

p.s. both of the apps in the screenshots used to be fully dark moded untill the last MIUI/Xiaomi.EU minor update.

Sure if there is a thread about China weeklies. The dark mode issues I think this week affect all devices or at least a few devices (I know about ginkgo). But this might be in response to last week's performance issues regarding Dark Mode.
