The dark theme appears to be causing a noticeable amount of performance degradation and lagging after this theme being applied on a Nexus S.
There are some report of issues on this site with different phones and on the Nexus S XDA Development thread.
I've personally installed it myself and can replicate the issue over 5 re-installations of the latest version of MIUI. It works fluidly without the dark theme and slows down when it's installed.
I've also noticed that the earlier released dark theme, although somewhat problematic and semi-finished, doesn't seem to have as adverse an effect as the new official dark theme.
