Dutch Language For Mi3

Hello,

2 years ago I bought a Xiaomi Mi3. When I received the phone, it wouldn't boot. By trying to charge, the notification LED came up red, but nothing happened.
I had to send it back (EU warehouse) for repairing. A month later I got it back, working.
In february 2016 I installed 6.2.18. Not a clean install, but over the first version. Everything worked well.
About a month ago, my phone got stuck in a bootloop. Startup screen (Mi) came up, went black, and booted again to the first Mi logo.
After reading about reflashing and stuff, I finally got it to flash through MiFlash. The version is now 7.6.8 where I could choose flash_all_except_data_storage.bat. I did not want to loose my data yet.
After the flash, still nothing happened. Then I ordered a battery (due to the first experience with the phone).
Yesterday the battery arrived. I plugged it in... and the phone went on like it should have to.
The only problem now, is that this version has a whole lot of languages, except Dutch.
Can anyone tell me what stable version has Dutch, and maybe a little guide to have it installed.
I would first take a decent backup, and then do a clean install.
I read about TWRP and then the ROM. But I am a little confused about how to do it properly.

Flash the latest beta ROM from this site (tends to be without any noticeable issues) and not from Xiaomi itself, as both official Global and Chinese ROMs do not support Dutch. Have been running Xiaomi.eu beta ROMs on 4 different devices in Dutch and didn't have any issues with any release.

Here you can get the latest, with all the instructions here at the top by clicking "ROM downloads".

If you need any further help, just ask again. But it's pretty straightforward. Do know it might void the warranty.

Bedankt voor het antwoord. Maar hoe zit dat nu juist met die TWRP?
Is dit nodig vooraleer een nieuwe ROM te installeren?
Hoe moet dit dan juist?

Ja, die is nodig. Het rooten echter niet echt. Het volgende moet je doen:

ROMs for devices with locked bootloader:

• Unlock your first bootloader here en.miui.com/unlock/
• Install TWRP via Fastboot mode, then install our ROM
• Code:
  fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
  fastboot boot twrp.img
• TWRP Recovery Zip DOWNLOAD or TWRP.ME
• Wipe /data partition
• Copy our ROM to the internal storage
• Install our ROM
• Reboot
• done

Oftewel je moet eerst je apparaat "unlocken" op de website met Xiaomi, door eerst een aanvraag te doen (kun je eerlijk zeggen dat je graag de taal in het NL's wilt hebben) en zodra je toestemming hebt gekregen heb je daar ook de tool om het uit te voeren. Dit kan wat rotzooien zijn met drivers (als het niet lukt zoeken naar de "qualcomm adb driver") en dat je eerst de locatieherkenning van je MIUI account aan moet hebben staan.
Zet alvast de ROM die je wilt hebben op je telefoon.
Daarna dus TWRP installeren via fastboot.
Dus eerst "Android SDK platform tools" downloaden en TWRP (via twrp.me) in dezelfde map zetten. Vervolgens ctrl + rechter muisknop om een commandovenster in die map te openen en het met

fastboot devices (om te zien of je apparaat herkent wordt)
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot boot twrp.img

installeren. Hierna start de recovery op.
Eenmaal daar ga je naar "wipe" en doe je de standaardactie om vervolgens via install je ROM erop te zetten. Als dat is gelukt kun je herstarten en ben je klaar. Bij elke nieuwere versie van dezelfde ROM hoef je in het vervolg onder wipe enkel "dalvik cache" en "cache" aan te vinken en te verwijderen. Dan blijven je apps erop staan. Dit kan niet bij het nieuw installeren van een ROM omdat dan alles in de soep loopt.

Mocht je trouwens in de omgeving van Rotterdam wonen kan ik het ook voor je doen als je wilt. Op de aanvraag voor het ontgrendelen na, dat duurt een paar dagen voordat hij toegekend wordt.
