Failed to Install new Stable 17

Hello,
I have TWRP and I'm trying to instal this latest Stable 17 but the install always fails.
Its also failing with official version.
What am I doing wrong?

what you mean? My updater is not showing any new rom...

touch to menu button and select rom file from sd card, also use stock recovery.

Ok thanks done.
Did the updater way, used TWRP, and worked.
But this is not a clean install. It just installs on top of what we already have. Also, replaces/deletes any recovery installed

Have the same issues but now updated to stable 18. Problems solved.

Global version has 18.0.

WCDMA China, which is the standard WCDMA version, only has version 17

Xiaomi is trying to change all roms to global version but global version is unstable for some devices. Had certain bugs when i installed stable 18. Reverted back to stable 17.

If u have downloaded the update via the updater, go to twrp, intstall the rom which will be in the downloaded_rom folder.Try uncheck md5 verification in twrp. Or u can try going under updater n select update package under options. Hope this helps. Btw, stable 18 is out but is not stable on certain device like my sg version. Better to make backup first if u are updating ur rom. I installed stable 18 n faced problems thus reverted back to stable 17.
