Files encrypted while in TWRP

Hey,
Am trying to install xiaomi.eu 10.0.11 rom and can't figure out how to do it as all the files in /sdcard/ are encrypted and I really don't want to push it in with random system files in the root.
Any help?

Formatting data in TWRP (not wipe) may help.

How would go about that in twrp? Would it be the "change filesystem" option? Or is it elsewhere?
