Finally, DEV version of Redmi K20 was out!

I tried rom, xeu and now i am on that chines dev rom. All works well except that after flashing EU no access to twrp or any recovery, and if you flash chines version there is stock recovery, but if you flash twrp it again doesnt boot to twrp. So problem with twrp on dev rom is related to miui, not to eu rom.

Thanks for the info!
i guess i will stick with EU stable for now, until EU dev ROm doesnt have this problem anymore.

before this china dev 9.7.18 i was on xiaomi.eu 9.7.18 and both rom previous twrp didnt work, then i install this twrp on china 9.7.18 and it works, also i now instal 9.7.18 rom from xiaomi-miui.gr and it works, so it should works also on xiaomi.eu dev rom.

Yes it works, i have confirm. Only i think we have to format/wipe data

Here is TWRP for K20 by L.R.Team in China LRTeam Recovery for Redmi K20

That one will not work on 9.7.18 . If you have stable and this your twrp, then you can flash dev 9.7.18 but then you will not be able to boot in twrp or in stock twrp. If you already flashed 9.7.18 and didnt check if you can boot in twrp, try it, and if you cant, flash twrp from mediafire link i posted. you will have to format data to encrypt storage

i"m trying to restore my data nandroid backup from EU stable 10.3.12.0 to EU DEV 9.7.25 with the new recovery, after the format data to decrypt the partition for twrp.... guys it's not easy at all!
i done almost 4 fastboot flash since yesterday to try a lot of different method.
we can't restore all kind of partition with twrp or we stuck in fastboot.
what is the best way to decrypt the partition and restore the data? because i have a bad news : the nandroid backup from the TWRP-3.3.1-0607-REDMI_K20-By.TRabZonLu OR recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-0607-REDMI_K20-CN-wzsx150, don't work with the twrp_davinci_3.3.1_23-07-19_red_ss
it say : "extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR : 255"

EDIT : can't also flash some zip file, as riru core, edxposed... on the last red_ss recovery. same files working on previous twrp version with the same rom.
EDIT 2 : After flashing the red_ss recovery, and flashing back the wzsx150 recovery, nandroid backup dont work even after restoring.
need to flash the 10.3.9 fastboot rom with miflash, flash the same rom version as when you done the nandroid backup with twrp (10.3.12 EU zip for exemple) and restore only data.

SO, i will not use this recovery now.

i dont know about other twrp versions, but i know that with CN-wzsx 150 twrp after flashing 9.7.18 ( weekly ) we cant boot in twrp . With this from greek forum we can boot after in weekly roms but we need to format data to encrypt.
there is another one verion of twrp from 4pda forum, some say it works, for me it didnt woorks as well.
but it seems normal that if you make nanadroid backup with one twrp to not work with another one, as all this twrp are stil not official

So everyone who used the newly-discoved TWRP said they had to wipe /userdata and then it worked. Has anyone tried first remove encryption from system (remove your screen password/pattern lock, remove xiaomi account, etc) and then use the new TWRP? If no encryption, it should theoretically just work without wipe, right?

i did that, dont use screen lock with password or pin or fingerprint. and always i deactivate miui account when i want to flash rom from begin.
so you must format data to encrypt storage.
if you have pin or password on screenlock, when you boot into twrp it will ask you first to enter that pin/password then you can enter into twrp.

So, if you can decrypt the data in the beginning of TWRP, why do you need to wipe user data then?
You can just flash EU dev after decryption (dirty flash).

i dont know why but it was like that . phone was encrypted and maybe it could decrypt if in wipe you just wipe everything except system and internal storage. i didnt try, i did format data.
