I would not say 100% but better, scanner is still unreliable or slow sometimes. The problem is that this way you cannot save many fingerprints.

I don't understand why, but my one started working much better after changing the animation. 
Currently using the rhythm one.

Wow, I didn't saw that option at first. I can approve that animation does increase speed of fingerprint!

There are many people said that changing its animation weill make the fingerprint smoother. LOL
I didn't try that cuz using Pixel Experience. U should try once

Custom ROM, AOSP based (not MIUI).
All good! I've noticed after a dirty flash of a weekly update, that changing the animation from rhythm to something else and then back to rhythm helps.It actually seems that Rythm makes it faster! Who knew
