Hi all,
I have a redmi4 prime (bought from goldway HK), it came with Stable 8.0.5.0 (MBECNDG), bootloader is not unlocked.
If I understood everything, if I want to flash to a global stable ROM from Xiaomi over the actual ROM here are the steps (from miui.com flashing guide)
-get the global ROM from en.miui.com (it's a .zip file)
-put it on the phone via USB in a folder named ‘downloaded_rom’
-launch "updater", select ‘Choose update package’, and select the ROM previously copied
First, I'd like to know if my understanding is correct.
And Lastly, do I need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash a global ROM ?
Thanks for your answers.
