Flashing from stock ROM - data wipe required?

I'm currently running the STOCK MIUI Global 13.0.2.0 Stable.

1. If I flash the xiaomi.eu ROM, will I need to wipe data?

2. If for some reason I don't like this ROM, can I revert to the stock MIUI version that it is based from without a data wipe?

Any other gotchas I could be aware of?

1. Unlocking the bootloader deletes user data.
ROM change requires Format Data.

2. It is always possible to go back to the factory ROM and lock the bootloader using Miflash. (requires Format data)

My bootloader is already unlocked. I'm running a rooted stock ROM.

Seems like I'll need to backup and restore anways
