New Gestures at MIUI 12

In the last beta of MIUI 12 the home gesture is not working in some apps, it works more on system apps only.

I can confirm it on YouTube. Used it for a while and the home gesture didn't work. Turned off screen and opened it and works again.
Also happens in some other apps but not all the time.

Device Mi 9.

in some Apps (for example "Kaspersky Password Manager") fullscreen gestures don't work

Can confirm this on Mi Mix 3. Seems to be happening on fullscreen apps. Also on Facebook Messenger chat head window. Locking and unlocking the screen seems to work to curb the problem.

Same on my Mi 9 Lite. It happens on a lot of apps, but especially on YouTube when watching a video in fullscreen.

Same on NordVPN. This bug was present in previous build also.

Same here, sometimes "swipe up to go home" doesn't work in certain apps like facebook, youtube and even in system apps like settings or messages. This bug was present in all MIUI 12 releases. Mi9SE.

Me too. Mi 9, with 20.5.14. Must black out the screen and turn it on back to recover gestures.

I think that is a launcher related problem. Today i have installed the latest release of the launcer from apkmirror and the gesture bug is gone. But, the latest release is missing the unlock animation.

- With root =>
1) Download "SAI" app (available on Google Play Store)
2) Open it and configure it to use "Rooted" for 'apk installation'
3) Install new MIUI Launcher APK in SAI
4) Reboot your phone (recommended)

- Without root =>
1) Rename the new MIUI Launcher APK to "MiuiHome.apk"
2) Boot your phone in TWRP
3) Go to "Mount" menu and tick "System"
4) Go back to main TWRP menu and go to "Advanced" > "File Manager"
5) Select and copy/cut the new MiuiHome.apk (in '/sdcard/...' directory) to '/system_root/system/priv-app/MiuiHome/'
6) Go in "Advanced" > "Terminal"
7) Type:

rm /data/system/package_cache -rf

8) Reboot your phone

Yes, the launcher from apkmirror gestures work, but the launcher has much less options/customizations to be configured comparing to the in-built one

mi9t/redmi k20 here i can confirm this but its not like that it wwont work on some apps its like it doesnt work some times in any apps
