New Google home screen search bar keeps getting stuck on "loading" when i click it.

This started probably a few weeks ago and happens after about an hour of not using my phone (POCOF3, Miui 14 stable rom) and requires multiple restarts of the google app or cache clears to get the searchbar working again.
