After the latest July 1st 2023 Google Play system update Google Play started showing that there is an update for Mi Music and Mi Video which are system apps patched by the xiaomi.eu team. It also started showing updates for apps like Spotify and Duolingo. The problem is that these apps are patched and modified and it stills shows it as an app which was installed through the Play Store. I don't know if it's a "feature" that was pushed by the system update or just a bug. The issue was not present on the June 1st 2023 Google Play system update. Is there anything I can to to make the updates disappear from the updates page?

No such problem here with 1 July 2023 update.
Hmm interesting. I have noticed that after trying to update them Play Store says that it couldn't update them.

The issue was fixed automatically. Don't know when or how.

The issue has now returned to me. I currently have it for at least 2 month now. It shows updates available for System Apps and also modified Apps that weren't installed via Google Play Store. Also the layout seems to be broken. Also happens on my mother's Samsung phone.

It would be best if you ignored it. In EU Rom, system apps are already optimized for EU Rom, so the dev is removing the ability to update it from any source. If you really want to update the app, which I do not recommend, you need to root your phone and use some app like MiXplorer to install an app apk files with root access. The best way to update those apps is to wait for a new ROM release. I hope this helps.

That was not the point.

This is the way it's for any phone now. It's up to Google to do something about it. It seems intentional so don't hold your breath. Or you can install Magisk and zygisk-detach and remove those apps from Play Store completely.

Same problem since the end of November. Even with other ROMs, it is clear that it does not depend on the EU but on Google. But I have contacted them several times and they give me absurd solutions that are of no use. Any news on this?
