[GUIDE] How to restore your phone to official ROM and lock your bootloader


Read this before you continue:

1. download your official recovery ROM from https://xiaomirom.com/

2. enter TWRP and flash your official recovery ROM

3. remember to format data and wipe cache and dalvik after flashing your official recovery ROM before you reboot your phone!

4. reboot your phone and setup MIUI (do not login to your Google and Xiaomi account also do not restore anything)

5. Shutdown your phone

6. enter fastboot

7. on your computer open cmd and type ' fastboot oem lock '

8. you have sucessfully restored your phone using official recovery ROM!

The revovery ROM has it's own MiUi recovery.

If so, step 5 is obsolete, as TWRP at this step should have been already replaced.

Hello,

step 3 => You should use "Format Data" and not "Wipe /data".

step 4 => "after that go to settings -> mi account -> sign out!" = You do that only if you want to sell your device (or I don't understand why it's necessary).

I did this and somehow I'm still on EU rom? Is this because my phone booted back to A slot or something? I'm gonna try again now..

EDIT:
I didn't lock the bootloader from fastboot as I plan to install LineageOS as soon as it officially releases. Certainly this is not the issue or?

I want to sell my phone and install stock ROM but what I can download at xiaomirom.com seems not to be an image. At least in TWRP it is not listed when I switch to image. I tried as a zip, no success.

Anyone switched to StockRom here?
