Help for pop up ads!!

Please somebody help me, I have ads pop up at any time while I'm using my phone (Xiaomi Redmi note 6 pro bought in December).
Ads even pop up while I'm on the phone!!
How can I stop this please? I've tried all sorts in the settings etc but is it an app I've downloaded or what??

Install Blokada to get rid of advertisement. It's free and open source.

No, what is a ROM and how do I use it to help the situation?
