I have a mi5s locked in edl mode, I have removed the battery and when connecting to the computer it recognizes as qualcomm 9008.

Opening it from the back, working with maintenance on smartphones, for me this is normal. I unplugged it in the hope of being some error related to this, but to no avail.

I have same problem, only computer can detect the phone as 9008, thinking of removing the battery but do not have the necessary tool. So removing battery seemed won't help.

Saw a guide which also requires removing the battery. Ordered the tools and will try after they arrive.
