The battery indicator is called energy ring, see screenshot.
I found that I could add stock image by mistake. I went to images, added that one from selection, applied, then went and changed it to time, applied and it kept the image too.
Edited. You do need to turn off battery restrictions, allow to be on lock screen through accessibility settings too.

May I ask you how to achieve this? I mean I can only choose image OR clock and not also having the butterfly flapping In the background  how can I reach this?

My next question would be: how is it possible to get the battery animation as in the picture displayed? Does anybody know? I'm searching for days already :/

Select butterfly, apply, select clock, apply

Butterfly and clock, works here too.

Sent from my Mi 11 Ultra.

Sorry but this doesn't work. I can choose a picture an apply afterwards I choose the clock apply and then the clock overwrites the picture

I'm on EU weekly. Go to settings, display and rear display from bottom link.
Select image, hovers over butterfly, press apply. You see butterfly in setting page image top right. change and select clock, click apply. You then see butterfly under clock.
As in the 2 screenshots attached.

I'm on EU 12.6 weekly, all still there. Spoke too soon, after update, it's back to normal. Going to hunt down that rear display app now

Its a shame... I think xiaomi should allow the rear screen display to Always on without time limit.. The screen is small and amoled.. Ahould use much battery i suppose. Having to double tap the rear screen to wake the screen, i might as well just turn my fon and look at the main displays
