How much ram does miui 12 use?

Hello, I have a question how much ram does miui 12 use. I have an application that shows me how much ram I am using and it says that I'm using 4.5 gb ram without any app running, isn't it too much?

Same here. My brandnew POCO F2 Pro has 8GB RAM and uses more than the half just for an idling operation system. I wouldn't really care about it that much, if I wouldn't face so many performance issues in apps. Especially after longer usage it likes to lag (animations) or freeze (typing text on Gboard) and so on. The RAM management seems to be miserably. I never faced such issues on my old phones and I'm really thinking about it to give this new phone back and keep using my old Huwaei for a while.
