Hi, I didn't find another similar post, I have tried miui 14 and the phone seems to be running fine on ram, but on hyperos (stock) and xiaomi.eu HyperOS the phone seems to have a bad way of using the ram, (It's absurdly bad) I thought it was because I had 4gb but the phone will soon be updated to HyperOS 2.0 and I assume Xiaomi.eu will make a rom for it, in some custom roms this problem does not exist either, although I prefer Xiaomi eu

Hello, I saw that too on my Poco F5 256/8 running HyperOS on the global December patch.

When I compared to a brand new Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G 256/8 on MIUI 14, my F5 could barely keep in memory half the apps I opened on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. I opened all the apps on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and it kept almost all of them in memory (2 or 3 occasional reloads on 40+ apps opened).

Ram management is really bad on HyperOS. I can barely keep more than 3 apps (browser + note taking app + file explorer) in RAM on my Xiaomi Pad 6 128/6 while an old Huawei P40 Lite 128/6 can easily hold these 3 apps (and more) in memory.

didn't you notice any improvement in battery using anything kernel? really?

If you still have it under warranty, I recommend use it and checking if it is a unit or stock problem. It is possible the same does not happen in all units or stock units. At least in my case, HyperOS update somehow was a disaster. If this is not the case then there is no doubt that HyperOS is a big failure compared to other brands. I can't do anything because HyperOS was released after it expired for me. So, I've seen in the community that some roms or extra things can help, when I can I will try.
