How to change the in call screen settings??

Hi guys,

I am facing a stupid issue in my MI3, where I am not able to get any in call options i.e., as soon as I dial or pick up any call, the screen shuts off... And then I cannot do anything till the person on the other side disconnects my call.

This is one of unfortunately only few bug related questions answered by staff
- You must turn off proximity sensor in "contacts" settings.
(I've also found this annoying on my redmi s1)
