How to hide whatsapp images from gallary?

I want to hide my whatsapp images from gallery.
I added .nomedia file on whatsapp folder.
But whatsapp images still showing on my gallery.

How can i hide my whatsapp images from gallery app?

I used .nomedia before (on official rom). Then it worked.
But now it's not working.
So i don't think i need to go to whatsapp forum.

I don't even think you know how .nomedia work.

If you were to root, you could install storage isolation module, can white/blacklist locations an app would see, including the gallery app. Seems like overkill for just one app, but there is a way.

It is not even necessary to be Root to do what you want.
You should go to your Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media/ directory.
There, you'll find several WhatsApp XXXXXXXXX folders where each "XXXXXXXX" can be "Images", "Documents", "Video" and so on.
Into each of them you must add a .nomedia file.
It is possible that you'll still see the images in the gallery after doing this. If this happens, then clear Gallery data.

I did exactly same thing (add .nomedia on whatsapp xxxxx folder.)
But it still showing in gallery.

& there is no option to clear gallery data.

For new photos / videos:
Whatsapp -> tap on 3-dot menu icon and select Settings -> Chats -> move the toggle next to Media Visibility to OFF position

Quick and dirty
rename whatsapp_xxx_folder -> .whatsapp_xxx_folder
Whatsapp will create a new whatsapp_xxx_folder
move the toggle next to Media Visibility to OFF position

.nomedia solution (not tested)
- copy ".nomedia" file from "/sdcard/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Voice Notes"
- paste it into "/sdcard/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media/YOUR_FOLDER"

clear the cache from Gallery
delete "/sdcard/Android/data/com.miui.gallery/files/gallery_disk_cache/small_size"
delete "/sdcard/Android/data/com.miui.gallery/files/gallery_disk_cache/full_size"
