How To Install Xiaomi.eu Rom On A Chinese Mi6?

Hello,
I just bought a MI6 with a chinese ROM.
I'd like to install a XIAOMI.EU ROM on it that suports French.
Could someone explain me the detailed procedure to follow?
Presently it's running MIUI 9.8.3.29 beta, and an update is available (MIUI 9.8.4.19 weekly) but I didn't launch it.
Should I downgrade to an older MIUI version?
For the moment I just created a MI account...
And which stable ROM would you recommend to maximize battery autonomy?

I think that you have to apply in this order:

Unlock device
Install recovery TWRP
Download zip of EU.ROM to internal storage
Updater / Menu (...) - Choose: Reboot to Recovery
Install / Select zip of EU.ROM previously downloaded
Reboot
....
Done
