How to remove clock from status bar?

Is it possible to remove this abomination of a clock + text from the statusbar? It occupies half of the notification space just to tell me it's Afternoon? Why? Who thought this is a good idea?

I recommend to use 24-hour clock (who created 12-hour clock, seriously? ^^).

Why the text instead of AM/PM? I don't know but who added that => China devs from Xiaomi...
