How to update my Mi3?

I am a newby and I dont know how to update my Mi3 with official software.
Now its on Android 4.3. I thought that there is already kitkat 4.4 official.
Hope someone can help?

Depending on the firmware it is on now you should get ota updates in the updater app. If you have rooted you need to unroot first.
