Invalid Incoming call delay

Xiaomi mi9, Miui 12.6 update to 21.4.7/8 causes the call ui to appear late when receiving calls.
You can hear the ringtone but the screen takes a few seconds until it appears on the screen.

Why was this marked as invalid?
I have found another instance of an user reporting the same issue but no answer in the thread

So this seems to be cause by another thing, not the update itself.
I also found another user with Mi Mix3 that has the same issue with another old version.
What information do I need to provide to help debug this?

Don't know, a ROM problem is something all users should be able to reproduce consistently.
This is not one of them. Might wanna try an official ROM.

Ok, I understand but official rom is not sometthing I want, and probably i can downgrade and "fix it" but again its not something i want to do.
Can you point me in the right direction to try and fix this?

I'm no magician, can't do what I know nothing about. I can't reproduce any of it.

I have the same issue and my colleague as well. I have a Redmi Note 8 Pro having all updates.

I have a small hunch it's magisk or some module...
I remembered recently that a while back on another phone I reported also I skipped a magisk install and it was fine for a while.
Can you confirm you also have magisk on?
Can it be possible?
Over the next days I'll try and check it...
