Installing China Dev Rom Necessary?

Dear Xiaomi.eu fans,

As the title says: is it necessary to install the China Dev ROM on the Redmi Note 4 before unlocking, install TWRP, and flash Xiaomi.EU ROM?

Or is it possible to directly ask for unlock at miui.com and when accepted install TWRP and everything when currently have the GLOBAL Stable MIUI 8 ROM?

After unlocking i flashed eu rom while on global

I was on Global when I unlocked.

My phone was originally on Global. I requested unlock code and I received it after couple of hours. When trying to unlock it got stuck at 50% however I managed to install TWRP and I was surprised.
So, do you think it's wise to flash China fastboot version and try to unlock? Then install eu rom?
Or just install eu over Global? Still I'm on Global. Thanks.

If you have TWRP your good to go.
Backup current install before you start anything.

How to Check Redmi Note 4 Bootloader Status:

Use this command from Fastboot Mode

fastboot getvar unlocked

It will return a YES/NO response.

if " yes " --> Unlocked Status
"No" ----> Lock status
