This is my third Xiaomi phone, really satisfied with the first two, this will be my last Xiaomi, need to find another brand, waited two weeks for my bootloader unlocking authority, apparently if it is a snapdragon model you should be able to do it from Global stable, went through the procedure today, it told me it was unlocked, guess what it is not. Tried again and it thinks its already unlocked so will not let me do it again, googled it and it looks like you have to leave 30 days in between attempts and you must do it from Chinese dev rom. what an absolute cock up they have made in locking the bootloader down and even bigger mess in the procedure to unlock.....

i has the dev global version of miui an i apply for the unlock, after a week i receive the unlock permission.
