hi every one
could anyone explain how we could update the latest magisk 22 because the magisk manager is no longer available....i turned the apk to zip file and it didnt want to be installed at all it gives you an error message
THE DEVICE IS NOT BOOTING TO SYSTEM IT DIRECTS TO FASTBOOT....any way i managed to flash the full rom zip file to get the thinks settelled as it was before and in order to restore the stock boot image.....there is a serious problem with thhis magisk stuff

Hello :)

How the new Magisk v22.0 works:

- Install as apk (in System) = Install Magisk Manager v22.0 app only
- Install as zip (in TWRP) = Install Magisk v22.0 (with Magisk Manager v22.0 I guess...)

If you have boot issue after installing Magisk, you should try to cleanly uninstall it first = Install this zip in TWRP => Magisk-uninstaller-20210117.zip

thanks for your reply
anyway i managed to roll back to 21.4 but still need to update to the latest 22
i cannot understand the options you listed at the above because they are not similar at the developper's install instructions
could you please clarify
anyway i think of two ways in my case :
- flash the new boot.img file generated from magisk app through ADB/FASTBOOT commands
-uninstall root completely and rename the magisk_v22.apk into magisk_v22.zip which can make this a flashable zip through custom recovery (orangeFox in my case)

=> Only do this complicated method if you don't have TWRP...

=> Best way to install Magisk.

@Poney70 this affect in some manner OrangeFox installation? My phone is non-ramdisk device so Magisk try to install itself in recovery.
