Messaging constantly runs

Hi guys. Just wondering. Does messaging HAVE to be running constantly. Is there a way to kill it when its not in use. Task killers don't do it. Can u make it not system persistent. Maybe something to look at for the next update?

If you kill messaging, then you'll never get a text. Not very a very smart thing to do...
