In Progress messaging crashes when scrolling past favorites

hi my mi-1s crashes when i scroll right past favorites in the messaging app i start to see chinese writing then it just closes asking if i want to report the error anyone got any ideas or is it just a rom bug.

Get into advanced settings in the messaging setting and untick hide recommended tab.

We can't translate it. It pulls that list from Chinese servers. The best we can do is just override what they download for our own XML files. Still trying to figure out how.
