Mi 11 ultra from China Google Pay with Paypal does'nt work

On my Mi 11 ultra out of China Google Pay with Paypal does'nt work. Anybody hints for this?

Its not the problem that the Process in the market doesnt work. The Prolem is that Paypal is#nt working as payment method in google pay. A call at paypall didnt help either. I thaugt it could be a problem with the china rom.
Safetynet test shows success at all points.

Just for clarification : have you successfully added the PayPal account but can't use it for payment or does adding the PP account fail?

Had the same once or twice, can you access your Google account settings from within Gpay? Have you already added PP to your Google payment methods? In that case you could try to enable wireless payment over your Gpay account settings.

When i had CN Rom installed, I had the same problem. I tried a few times later and it suddenly worked.

BTW in the meantime my M11 Ultra with CN ROM has arrived and I'm in the same boat Also my "trick" above which has worked fine in the past (albeit with non-CN ROMs on other devices) does not work any more.... So I am also happy for any ideas
