[Mi 8 Lite] is Camera2Api fixed in Android Pie?

I've used xiaomi.eu rom in my Mi 8 Lite before, when it was still Android Oreo, and after enabling Camera2Api, I couldn't use face unlock and front facing camera on *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* was broken. Is it fixed in Android Pie?
I'd love to go back using xiaomi.eu rom but I need to know if at least face unlock is working properly with Camera2Api enabled in Android Pie before I can make the change.
