New Mi Max 3 Microphone Issues during Calls

during any calls the microphone stops working and the other person cant hear you.

Any update on this bug?

I tried turning off Google assistant and then updated to the latest available ROM but nothing changed, I can't use my Max 3 as a phone simply because the mic is not working when on call. It works when recording or testing it otherwise. So it is definitely a soaftware problme which I believe many other have

Already sent report to the Mi devs
If that is not addressed in a proper way this will definitely be my last Xiaomi device

I have the same with Mi8 for the last few roms.

12.13 works with speakerphone (try that)

NOTE:

Phone calls DO work for me. It's WhatsApp calls and Skype that don't work

I'm guessing it has something to do with the noise cancelling microphone issue that cannot be turned off in Xiaomi phones

tried numerous things like giving and removing mic permissions to the Google apps and anything that is using the mic. The result is that when the other person picks up they hear some noise initially and then nothing, complete silence

I am on the last stable ROM now
