New Mi Message Bug

Hi there,
I have a Mi4c 32GB with 6.2.18 developer rom and my girlfriend has the redmi note 2 16GB with the same version.

More often than not (8-9 times out of 10), we cannot send mi messages to each other, although we are constantly connected to internet.
The messages are sent as plain SMSs.

The same thing keeps going on from day 1, it was not different with the older miui versions...

Try Google Messenger app from Play Store for SMS/MMS messages.

Yeah, I know about other apps. I am using viber and whatsapp as well. But mi message is very nice. It's like i-message for xiaomi

Googles app is quite similar to default, i've had zero problems with it.

Yes, but does mi message work? It seems unlikely.. If so, I might give it a try
